2019 Pinot Noir, Radian
Radian is the western most vineyard planted along Santa Rosa Road in the Sta. Rita Hills. Due to the site’s close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, this vineyard is one of the coolest and most extreme in the region. Steep and rugged, Radian is further distinguished by its unique soils made up of diatomaceous earth. A dark, deep ruby color in the glass, the 2019 Radian Pinot Noir showcases the unique characteristics of the grape when cultivated in this special site. On the nose, this wine shows notes of citrus, dried rose petals, and eucalyptus, as well as savory notes of leather, tobacco and hay. On the palate, earthy flavors such as mushroom, umami spices, herbs and dark plummy fruit blend seamlessly with velvety tannins. Bright acidity throughout provides freshness on the finish.
