Our 2022 Alma Rosa Grenache Rosé has a pretty salmon color. On the nose, lovely notes of wild spring flowers combined with hibiscus, apricot and citrus emerge. Alluring acidity is the first thing you will notice on the palate, followed by flavors of melon, watermelon and pear. The mouthfeel is bright and refreshing, with rocky minerality and a long finish. Perfect for the summer months, we recommend serving it alongside a shrimp salad and elevated hors d’oeuvres.

Our 2021 Pinot Blanc La Encantada has a light gold color in a glass. This wine captured the beauty of the long growing season in Sta. Rita Hills. On the nose pleasing notes of ocean breeze, sea salt and beach rocks is well pronounced, while notes of Jasmine, freshly picked pear and hint of lemon are backbone of this wine. Bright yet well integrated acid is leading the tasting notes, while well blended with the notes of lemon juice and the saline, giving it delicious mouthfeel and ask you to sip more. Alma Rosa’s estate vineyard, El Jabali, was originally planted in 1983 by Richard Sanford. The 2021 Alma Rosa El Jabali Grenache is the second-ever 100% estate-grown Grenache to come from Alma Rosa’s estate. The fruit was harvested from the coolest, highest-elevation vineyard at the estate and features concentrated yet delicate fruit flavors. A mesmerizing red ruby hue in the glass, this wine gracefully unfurls in the glass, revealing a luscious opulence. The bouquet enchants with a symphony of violets and lilacs, red licorice, rhubarb, hints of orange peel, succulent strawberries, leather, cherries and cooling mint. On the palate, the 2021 El Jabali Grenache delivers flavorful burst of concentrated, juicy red fruit, vibrant acidity and velvety tannins.

Year after year, Pinot Noir from the La Encantada Vineyard unveils its distinct charm. With a medium ruby hue in the glass, the 2021 La Encantada Pinot Noir is delicate yet captivating. La Encantada Pinot Gris shows a crisp green color that is nicely integrated with the light gold yellow. Stunning notes of lime, lemon, white peaches, white nectarine, honeysuckle, Jasmine flower and hay give such a stunning complexed notes on the nose. With the first sip the first what you will notice is pronounced acid and saline minerality that give this wine so much character of Sta. Rita Hills. Notes of lemon, apricot and yellow apple round the prettiness of this wine. Every year I am stunned by the beauty of this wine and it never fails!

The Rancho La Viña Vineyard is located on Santa Rosa Road in the southwest corridor of the Sta. Rita Hills. The Pinot Noir fruit from this site tends to produce wines that are both darker and richer in expression than many of the other vineyards in the area. Our luscious and concentrated 2021 Rancho La Viña Pinot Noir is no exception to this rule. A deep ruby hue sets the stage, followed by dark cherries, orange peel, flowers and a touch of sage on the nose. The palate delights in the integration of red and black fruit flavors, candied orange peel, baking spices and plush tannins, culminating in a delectably harmonious experience.

The 2020 Alma Rosa Barrel Select Pinot Noir is a special blend created from our favorite barrels from our estate vineyard, El Jabali. Each component was hand-selected by winemaker Samra Morris with the goal of creating a cuvée representative of the special site and vintage. A dark ruby color in the glass, upon pouring, there are aromas of blueberries, black cherries and violets. On the palate, black currants, plum and tobacco combined with chalky tannins and minerality lead to a long and complex finish. This wine is lush and powerfully complex, while still displaying the hallmark freshness of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

Our 2022 Vin Gris of Pinot Noir has a light, delicate pink color. On the nose there are notes of neroli, peonies and wild strawberries. The aromas continue with lush notes of ocean mist, white peach, tangerine and guava—ravishing to the nose! Hints of lemon-lime, watermelon and bright saline acidity combine effortlessly to create a palate that is light and playful. A long mineral finish makes this complex rosé a wonderful complement to seafood, light pasta dishes and warm summer nights. Winemaker Samra Morris is enamored with this wine year after year as it reminds her of the Old World wines she grew up drinking during summer trips to the Mediterranean coast from her native Bosnia.
